Dear East Fork family,
Last evening, our 1st & 2nd grade teacher, Miss Laura Clark, was called home to heaven. She was at her parent's home recovering from the blood infection that had kept her out of the classroom for the last few weeks when she suffered a heart attack. We know very few details at this time.
It is with sadness at losing a dedicated colleague, but with joy in the knowledge that she is with her Savior, that I write to you.
It is our plan to have school as usual to keep our students' lives as normal as possible during this time. It is for times such as this that our school exists. We want all children and families to know about the Savior that Miss Clark told her students about every day; the Savior who will one day take all believers to be with Him in heaven, where there will be no more sickness, pain, or sadness.
We will keep you informed about funeral arrangements when we are made aware of them.
"Brothers and Sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope." 1 Thessalonians 4:13
God's peace be with you,
The East Fork Lutheran School Staff
